Columns play a literally supporting role in architecture. However, in addition to their function, the design potential of these components has always been exploited. With its oval shape, the Gaia column contributes to the calm appearance of this dining table. The rectangular table top is supported by an oval column with long straight sides. The shape and size of the powder-coated steel base plate harmonises with the selected table top. The version with a square table top with rounded corners has a round centre column and a round base plate. Thanks to its special materials and various shapes and sizes, the Gaia can be used in a wide variety of architectural settings. A charismatic table with a virtuoso column. Special attention should be paid to the possibility of KFF chairs having the same upholstery fabrics and leather as the column of the Gaia table. The same colour can also be chosen for the base plate and chair frames. Individual requests for a harmonious ensemble in terms of feel and colour can be taken into account through this interplay.

Size and shape of the base plate – powder-coated sheet steel – is proportional to the table top. Square table top with rounded corners with round column and round base plate.

Glue-laminated planks
Board-glued ASCO table tops are made of 9 to 14 individual continuous 8-15 cm wide solid wood slats glued together lengthwise. The woods are carefully sorted and selected, creating a naturally balanced character and giving the solid wood table top its harmonious overall appearance. Viewed from the front, alternating horizontal and vertical annual rings are visible, which show an attractive wave pattern.
